This is not to say there aren't hundreds upon hundreds of talented Chinese companies making everything under the sun and delivering, but in this dystopian hypercapitalist scrum you are vulnerable. Up until things go south and the trading company de-lists and/or you realize the factory address they've provided is a rice field.

There's a simple reason for this: Foreigners love thinking they are talking to the factory and getting the "china price". Other times accounts are actually trading companies pretending to be a factory. If they are bold the company may simply disappear, or will ship a container of faulty products (they do this because shipping something, anything, increases their chances to win a dispute under Chinese law). If they can't, they will stall you until they've exhausted all options and return (some) of your money. Whether they can actually make what you need they'll figure out later. This includes creating fake companies, listing someone else's products, clone adds to game the search algorithm etc.
